Comic-Con 2011 is two weeks away, so we're sending Jason on his annual trip to San Diego to report on the convention, panels, premieres, masquerade and after-parties. When he's done canoodling with girls dressed like the cast of Sucker Punch, he'll be stocking up on the exclusive toys, giveaways, art prints and comics to ensure that Hands in the Air headquarters looks like it was decorated by 12-year-old Star Wars nerds.
So what should convention geeks spend their money on besides deodorant, food not found in a 7-Eleven and etiquette lessons? Don't get your metal bikini bottoms in a bunch -- our picks for Comic-Con International 2011 exclusives are listed after the jump.

Comic-Con Day 3: Because Nerds Love Trilogies
I just got back from Comic-Con 2008 and, boy, is my hyperdrive tired! Anyway, it's good to be back in the land of deodorant and people who don't wear chain mail, but I still had a lot of fun at the convention, checking out the latest toys, movie premieres, celebrity panels and after-parties.Here's my report from Saturday's events...
He-Man fans were soaking their furry shorts at the entrance to the Mattel booth, which was decked out like Castle Grayskull.
Rainn Wilson moderating The Office panel. The best part was when an audience member asked if they would do a musical episode, maybe in a dream sequence. Um, how do you do a dream sequence in a show that's supposed to be a documentary?
The Office writer/performers, BJ Novak and Mindy Kaling. We once ran into BJ leaving Canter's Deli. He's short.
Upcoming Mighty Muggs for Indiana Jones and Marvel.
Unicorn photo opps for those who love Harold and Kumar and/or Sarah McLachlan.
Poison Ivy anime figure.
Batman and Robin constructed out of LEGO blocks.
The cast of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, including Summer Glau, Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker and Brian Austin Green, who's Public Enemy #1 with nerds nationwide since he was engaged to Transformers hottie Megan Fox. As if speaking fluent Klingon would give you the edge over David frickin' Silver.
New McDonaldland figures that will probably outsell the McRib. Rumor has it these taste better, too.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The security at Comic-Con looked scary enough, but they couldn't hit the broadside of Shipwreck's party boat.
Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof makes a surprise appearance at a Marvel panel to drop off the script for the next chapter of his Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk comic. It's funny because the script has been infamously overdue for two years. It's even funnier because that much time passes before anything happens in Lost.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force plushes, for those who like lint in their fries.
The Sci-Fi Channel gave out the funniest bags at the convention -- made specifically for the metrosexual Battlestar Galactica fan.
Patton Oswalt moderated the panel for The Sarah Silverman Program, which returns in October. He also made Ratatouille sex jokes about sitting on Brian Posehn's head while he pulled his hair to make him "do things."Fellatio jokes! Here's a video clip of Sarah Silverman and the cast of The Sarah Silverman Program telling a story that will touch you... down there.
The best part of the panel was that I overheard three different audience members asking other attendees if they thought that Jimmy Kimmel would make an appearance. Instead of replying, "Sarah and Jimmy just broke up," I overheard two of the three people reply, "Who's Jimmy Kimmel?"

Cheap "Blogs of Note" Ploy
Hands in the Air is part of Google's Blogger community, and one of the ultimate Blogger honors is to be featured as one of the day's "Blogs of Note." The problem is that about 90% of the daily Blogs of Note are tech-based (a recent sampling of Blogs of Note include such dorktacular titles as "AJAX Search API Playground," "Hackosphere" and "MacUpdate Blog." Maybe they should rename Blogs of Note to "Bloggers Who Have to Pay for Sex."
As a pop culture blog, our chances seem slim for getting noticed as a Blog of Note, so in a cheap, desperate ploy, I'm publishing this nerdy post about tech help. Blogs of Note, here we come...

Hopefully, that got your attention, Blogs of Note. Sure we're not techie, but I think that after almost 8 months of rambling posts about not-so-practical stuff (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Lindsay Lohan and Lindsay Lohan) we're still noteworthy. I'm just trying to give those other bloggers out there a chance. I'm sure the lonely cat lady who writes amateur poetry or the angry goth kid who keeps a diary of depression would like to get some attention every so often, too.

Comics + Science = Nerdy x 2
The Marvel Super Heroes Science Exhibition made its world premiere at Los Angeles' California ScienCenter this past March, and today we decided to take on the double threat of geekiness by visiting the exhibit. Ever wonder about the science behind Wolverine's stoopid haircut? Or how everything but those purple pants pop off of Bruce Banner when he hulks out? Disappointingly, it turns out the museum won't be tackling those mindbending questions. Check out the official list below to see what exhibits will actually be on display.
Marvel Super Heroes Science Exhibition exhibits:
Spider-Man: Hang from a Thread, Crawl like a Spider
Banshee: Shout out the Sentinel, See Sound
Storm: Zap the Bad Guys, Crank Out Electricity, Touch Lightning Screens
Invisible Woman: Watch the Invisible Woman Disappear
Doctor Octopus: Control Doc Ock's Arm, Tie Shoelaces
Daredevil: Navigate Blind Alley, Explore Touch Boxes, Create an Echo
Wolverine: Find the Implants*
Magneto: Push on Magneto's Shield, Explore Magnetic Principles
Iceman: Shake Hands with Iceman
Professor X: Scan Your Hand, Discover Shared DNA, Create Mutations
Iron Man: Lift Weights with Simple Machines, Lift a Car with the Exo-Suit
Hulk: Probe Hulk's Brain, Make Your Angry Face**
* Sounds better than it really is. No actual groping was involved.
** I was already wearing my "Angry Face" after the big disappointment from the misleading "Find the Implants" exhibit.
The Spider-Man Climbing Adventure teaches kids fun with harnesses and "crampons."
The "Shake Hands with Iceman" exhibit teaches kids that nothing is worse than a clammy handshake.
Professor X's device would declare you a "Mutant!" if your hand scan qualified. There was also a hand scanner that told comic book fans to move out of their mom's basement while the screen cruelly displayed "Virgin!" for all to see.Probably the best part of the exhibit was the bulletin board that asked museum goers to post pictures they had drawn of their personal superheroes.
